“I’ve never retired. I’ve never officially said that.”

Although she’s been focusing on her acting career, Gina Carano’s name has come up more than once as a possible opponent for UFC bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey (9-0).  UFC President Dana White has commented , “€œIf Gina Carano wanted to fight in the UFC, we would definitely do it.” To add more fuel to the fire, Rousey has said she would be“ecstatic” to fight Carano.

Officially, Carano is still under contract with the UFC, but would Carano really return to the octagon? Fox Sports asked Carano about it.

I’ve never retired. I’ve never officially said that,” Carano said. “For some reason a part of me has always kept it open. I don’t know, there’s a certain part of me that thinks if circumstances were right, and I could keep doing what I’m trying to make my future into, that’s an ideal world. If circumstances were right, you never know. I’m very open to it.”

Something to keep in mind, while watching Carano’s latest film, “In the Blood”, which opens April 4th.
