Ronda Rousey Possibly Dating Alleged Abuser Travis Browne
It looks like the ultimate Anti-#DNB is doing something. ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey, the UFC Bantamweight champion of the world and the apple of #DNB about DV guy Dana White’s
eye wallet, may be stepping out with UFC heavyweight Travis Browne. News of their possible relationship surfaced a few days ago, when a man at a restaurant took a picture of his daughter, with Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne at a table in the background. Judging by Browne’s expression, he seems to have caught on to the ploy.
You may remember Browne from such hits as the one he allegedly put on his current wife, spurring an investigation by the UFC, ongoing since July. Browne’s current wife, Jenna Renee Webb, posted photos of a series of bruises on her Instagram account in July. The caption accompanying the set of pictures leads us to believe that this is not the first time this has happen to Webb.
She posted, “Probably one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made was walking away from this life and starting over,” Webb said on Instagram. “I’m still ashamed for staying as long as I did. #domesticviolenceawareness.”
Following the picture of Browne and Rousey together, Webb, who is still married to Browne, responded on Twitter.
@noochsig I’m pretty disgusted…more so in her. But I’ve known this for a while.

As MMA fans leapt to Browne’s defense, saying Webb falsely accused him of beating her and was now trashing Rousey, she posted two new pictures of injuries she says came from him.

When Webb first made the Instagram post, the UFC released this statement:
UFC is aware of the social media allegations made against heavyweight Travis Browne. The organization requires all athletes to act in an ethical and responsible manner, as mandated by the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. UFC will not tolerate domestic violence or any other violation of the policy. Every athlete is deserving of due process and this situation, as with any official allegations, will be duly reviewed and thoroughly investigated by an independent party. In light of this news, Travis will not be participating in this week’s UFC International Fight Week activities in Las Vegas.
The prevention of domestic violence and the education of the athletes is of the utmost importance to the organization. UFC holds its athletes to the highest standard and will continue to take appropriate action if and when warranted.
While Browne hasn’t been officially suspended, his next fight also hasn’t been announced. We find it peculiar that Browne is under a de facto suspension, whereas Anthony Johnson feels the cold hand of a charitable donation and unspecified counseling. That’ll learn’em, Thumb-man. But, hey, stars get special treatment and 1-2 UFC fighters do not.
