Tecia Torres Gets An Altitude Adjustment

Tecia Torres (5-0) headed to Mexico City this week to get acclimated to the altitude before her main card strawweight fight with Angela Hill (2-0) at UFC 188 on June 13.

Mexico City sits at a lofty altitude of 7,350 feet (2,240 meters) above sea level. Torres trains in Coconut Creek, Florida, which is a mere thirteen feet above sea level, so she needs to live at the higher altitude for a minimum of a couple weeks to allow her body to adjust, and to ensure top athletic performance in the octagon.

She’s fitting in some sightseeing while she does this, including showing off her moves at the Teotihuacan Pyramids, located in the Valley of Mexico right outside Mexico City:
